GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT FRANCE
France is known for Paris, French Riviera, French Alps, Champagne region, Bourgogne wine region, Loire Valley, beautiful chateaux and castles, croissants, pastries, wine and champagne, the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Tour de France and amazing food and cheese.
HOW TO GET TO FRANCE: There are four airports in Paris and many others across the country. Air France is the national carrier. Check out Skyscanner for flights and availability.
The TGV and regional trains operate all over France. Book on Rail Europe.
Whilst driving in Paris is not recommended, driving in other parts of France is one of the best ways to see the country. Rentalcars.com has a great range of rental cars and we highly recommend France Motorhome Hire. Use our promo code BEERCROI to get €50 discount off your motorhome hire.
ELECTRICITY: France uses the C and E plug. The C plug has two straight, round pins, whilst the E also has a hole for an earthing pin that can be found in some power outlets. The voltage is 230V with 50 Hz frequency. Universal adaptors are the best way of handling different electrical outputs.
